The Organization of American States (OAS), through the Department of Human Development, Education and Employment (DHDEE) and the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS), through the OAS Partnerships Programme for Education and Training (PAEC), are offering scholarships to qualified candidates of the Americas to participate in a Master of Arts in Development Studies with a major in the following areas:
- Agrarian, Food and Environmental Studies;
- Economics of Development;
- Governance and Development Policy Human Rights, Gender and Conflict Studies: Social Justice Perspectives; and
- Social Policy for Development.
The programmes will run for sixteen (16) months from September 4th, 2017 to December 14th, 2018.
The modality of the programmes is onsite in the Netherlands and the language of instruction is English.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this scholarship opportunity, an applicant must:
- be a citizen and/or permanent legal resident of Saint Lucia;
- submit a complete scholarship application with all supporting documents;
- provide an unconditional admission letter to the university;
- not be an OAS staff or individual who maintains employment contracts with the OAS or immediate relatives of a staff of a Permanent Mission to the OAS; and
- have not received other scholarship from the OAS for the same level of studies and/or programme of study as advertised in this announcement.
BENEFITS OF THE SCHOLARSHIP
The OAS and ISS shall cover 60% of the tuition fees.
